Neighborhood Narratives: Upper Chevy Chase

Upper-Chevy-Chase-Washington-small-001-Upper-Chevy-Chase-666x444-72dpi

Upper Chevy Chase, one of D.C.’s first streetcar suburbs, is a quiet community known for its established trees and large, single-family homes. Ranked among the most popular in the Washington region for home buyers, Upper Chevy Chase is priced significantly lower than comparable areas and is known for its excellent schools.

Architecture is typical of the city with a mixture of colonials, bungalows, split-levels and the odd Victorian, but with the benefit of being suburban within city limits. With its tranquil setting, short commute to downtown, reasonable prices and diverse community, Upper Chevy Chase is the best of both worlds.
